Who We Are

Reid Eddison’s founding partners have decades of industry experience, and each brings a unique combination of skills and knowledge.

Peter Reid

Peter Reid co-founded Reid Eddison in 1997 following a very successful career as a senior financial and corporate executive.

He began his career in public accounting in Canada, Australia and Africa, and for 10 years was a senior manager with Price Waterhouse in Toronto and Ottawa. Leaving public practice in 1981, Peter served as Vice-President and Controller for Nabu Manufacturing and later as Vice-President of Finance for Nabu Network.

He subsequently held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President of Finance at Fulcrum Technologies and, from 1986 to 1996, was a member of the Board of Directors. During this time he was responsible for completing the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Fulcrum on the NASDAQ in 1993, and the public offering and listing of Fulcrum on the TSX in 1995. Fulcrum was acquired by PCDOCS/Hummingbird in 1997.

Over the past several decades Peter has served on the boards of a number of Canadian, US and international private and public technology companies, and of related industry associations.

Peter also devotes significant time to philanthropic and charitable pursuits locally and in Central America, Asia and Africa. In recognition of his many community efforts, Peter was named “Outstanding Individual Philanthropist for Ottawa” in 1998, and in 2002 he was recognized as “Civic Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Center for Research and Innovation and the University of Ottawa Centre on Governance.

Peter is a Chartered Accountant and received his CA certification in 1970.
